The David Nelson


As a Regional Manager of the San Francisco Bay Area for Marcus & Millichap, Davidā€™s mission is simple: to help his agents and their clients create and preserve wealth by providing them with the best real estate investment sales, research and advisory services available.

David is committed to presenting the most current and accurate market information. Thus enabling his clients to make informed decisions about their real estate investment portfolios and helping them to achieve their investment goals.


Beginning in 2004, David developed his career representing both Buyers and Sellers in a wide range of investment properties from multi-family and mixed-use to single tenant NNN leased properties to industrial warehouses, hotels, and commercial condos. This particular blend of experience has provided the basis for his extensive transactional expertise and his ability to form a strong diverse industry network. As a result, David is often called upon as a resource by private clients and institutions alike.

Prior to becoming Regional Manager for Marcus & Millichap, David served as Vice President of Investments at Paragon Commercial Brokerage, where he was one of the founding Agents. Prior to PCB, David spent five highly successful years with Marcus & Millichap Real EstateĀ Investment Brokerage where completed approximately $100 million in transactional sides. Before beginning his career with Marcus & Millichap, David served as the Director of Leasing for a San Francisco based Investment Brokerage managing a $30 million multi-family portfolio.

Active within the Real Estate community, David is a member of the National Association of Realtors, San Francisco Apartment Association, Urban Land Institute, CAR, SFAR, NMHC, NMHG, NAOIP, and the Multifamily Investors Group.

Born in Los Gatos, Ca, David is a Bay Area native and serves as a volunteer and donor to several local non-profit organizations. Additionally, David serves as an esteemed Board Member to the SPR Gallery, a non-profit Art Center in Brooklyn, NY. Outside the office, David is an active tennis player, cyclist, father, and husband.
